Warmer weather is slowly creeping in, and you know what that means, right? It’s smoothie season. Cool off, stay hydrated and sated with this simple, scrumptious smoothie that gets a healthy kick from coconut, hemp seeds and powdered organic greens, like our very own mustHave greens.
One of the most exciting aspects of smoothies is how much flexibility and creativity we can have with recipes, without ruining a perfectly good recipe. You can always swap out the base liquids for other milks, juices or water. You can add in your favorite fruits either in place of what’s in the recipe, or in addition to. And with so many protein and whole food sources, you can also play around with those.
We love using organic greens, like our own proprietary blend of grasses, spirulina and chlorella, for the vitamins, minerals and overall health benefits they offer. But you could swap them out for more fresh spinach or kale leaves. You could go with a single source green powder too like spirulina, wheat grass or chlorella.

Organic Greens Smoothie Recipe with Coconut and Hemp
Ingredients
1 cup nondairy milk
1 frozen banana, cut into chunks
1 cup ice or other frozen fruits like blueberries or pineapple
Large handful of fresh organic spinach leaves, washed and dried
2 tablespoons mustHave greens, or other powdered organic greens
2 tablespoon hemp seeds
2 tablespoons dried shredded coconut (unsweetened)
1 Medjool date, pitted
1 tablespoon your favorite vanilla protein powder
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
pinch sea salt
Directions
In a blender, combine all the ingredients and blend until smooth and creamy.
